Job Summary

As a print production specialist (contract), apply your creativity, your eye, and your technical skills to building mechanicals and implementing design across a variety of Square’s print marketing channels, often picking up creative from Figma. We work to build and name files that communicate to the next person down the line.

Job Description

Location: 100% remote Duration: 2 Months Description You also work with internal stakeholders, project managers, and external vendors to award print projects ranging from swag boxes to sales fliers. You facilitate communication between Square and vendors to develop timelines and budgets, proofing and pre-pro samples, spec and die line requirements, and artwork delivery. You Will Prepare and deliver mechanicals based on approved designs. Translate designs from Figma to InDesign or Illustrator. Resize artwork for various aspect ratios. Manage multiple versions of files, often with minor variations (copy tests, localization, etc.). Manipulate placed raster (Photoshop) and vector (Illustrator) graphics. Build and maintain working files. Own communications with new and existing vendors for print projects. Work with stakeholders and vendors to define project deliverables. Work with stakeholders to create RFQs and evaluate responses. Juggle a mix of large and small projects, often with overlapping importance and urgency. Skills Understanding of print processes and materials for large scale, POP, newsprint, boxes, swag, and more. Solid working experience building, editing and optimizing print mechanicals using CMYK and spot colors. Strong working knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop Some familiarity with Figma Experience working with print vendors and stakeholders to define project deliverables. An ability to communicate clearly with peers and across disciplines.
