Job Summary
Accountable for timely and accurate execution of final production artwork for letterpress, flexo and offset printing.
This work will maintain and be consistent with the quality standards set fourth by this company. Familiar with graphic imaging software packages.
Job Description
Essential Job Duties
• Execute color separations and trappings using Adobe Creative Suite, Printergy/Evo and Hybrid Cloudflow for letterpress, offset and flexo printing.
• Thorough understanding of conventional and Macintosh production work as it relates to multiple color printing for letterpress, offset and flexo printing.
• Knowledge of trapping, cutbacks, film output and screening requirements for various substrates and the accompanying press restrictions.
• Responsible for electronically sending PDF files to outsourced printing vendors.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with fast turnaround times meeting constant deadlines. Including overtime when necessary
• Ability to work in a team environment while communicating effectively with Graphics and Marketing departments.
• When Manager is unavailable, be able to analyze problems and take corrective measures on press issues, ordering supplies, proofing, and expediting production artwork as needed.
• Design seasonal and everyday offerings for marketing as needed.
• Execute sketch artwork for institutional custom print when needed.
• Fine art applications and good hand skills are a plus.
Required Skills And Abilities
• Design & Illustration Skills are a plus
• Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe In Design software
• Ability to manage multiple project requests on a daily basis while meeting due dates on consistent basis
• Some Commercial Art education preferred
