Job Summary

Jockey is seeking a Packaging Production Development Art Specialist to join our Marketing team! The Packaging Production Development Art Specialist will focus on bringing packaging designs to life in a production environment. This position will develop and manage the creation of production packaging artwork files as well as work closely with various vendors and cross-functional teams during packaging reviews, supplier print tests, and vendor involvement.

Job Description

This position can be located at our corporate headquarters in Kenosha, WI (between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI area). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Work with developed concepts to apply packaging assets across styles that fit in the template, using attention to detail to ensure they are consistent. • Collect all assets (i.e., copy, images, die lines, etc.) and create and/or work with approved vendors to finalize production artwork files for brand packaging across all channels. • Manage artwork development and consistency across all programs, ensuring accurate silhouette/styles, die lines, copy, images and fabrication, etc. • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure packaging is ready to shelf set. • Create physical samples of all packaging components with final folds, substrates, and artwork for each program. • Coordinate with cross-functional partners in final shelf set process to ensure successful launch of packaging. • Route files internally as needed, making adjustments to files for final approvals of all packaging artwork. • Ensure proper documentation and storage of final files on Jockey servers and systems. • Work with suppliers to create and finalize renderings of assembled packaging for eCommerce use and/or sales presentations. • Kick off and approve file proof process, which includes uploading final artwork files. • Ensure color proofs are approved with suppliers. • Initiate and manage supplier color qualifications for consistency across brand. • Train new vendors on processes to ensure Jockey standards are met. • Create mock-ups for internal and external business meetings, recommending new fold methods to help showcase product details and package fit. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, or related field. • 2-3 years of experience in print production. • Passion for printing and design, with strong technical skills. • Possess an eye for visual composition and color with a solid understanding of digital and offset printing processes and preflight. • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications, with an emphasis on Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. • Extremely organized and detail oriented. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
