Job Summary
As Our Print Production Specialist You Will Work On Projects Focusing On Analyzing Customer Artwork For Manufacturability, Recommending Changes, Finalizing Artwork Files, Managing The Overall Artwork Approval Process And Supports The NPD Project Management Process.
In This Position You Will Directly Communicate With Our External Customers, As Well As Our Sales, Operations, Project Management, Structural Designers, And Various Other Departments To Meet Deadlines And Understand Goals.
Job Description
What is my day to day like?
The Day To Day Will Include But Is Not Limited To
• Work with our Project Management team, clients, and both internal and external vendors to align customer expectations and improve production quality.
• Analyze, proofread and troubleshoot project files for production to ensure client expectations are exceeded.
• Prepare production files tailored to specific printing machinery for optimal output & ensure print production aligns with quoted Master Spec for accuracy.
• Arrange and track project status - from layout creation through customer approvals, proofing and production.
• Source and approve ink drawdown samples to meet production criteria and evaluate samples for accuracy against production standards.
• Ensures customer brand management, evaluates L*a*b* data from client color expectation, records measurements in both ColorCert and manually.
• Support Sales & Marketing with presentation materials and program development.
• Collaborate with Project Management & Sustainability Director to ensure material accuracy of material claims on packaging.
• Establish print production parameters and work with internal Graphic Designer to construct product print templates.
• Develop complete RSC layouts to outside vendors following Sabert standards.
• Perform quality checks on printing equipment to ensure proper print appearance and G7 compliance.
• Manage bidding, preparation, and ordering of printing plates.
What Makes a Person Successful In This Position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Print Production or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 – 8 years of experience in print production, or related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Working knowledge of InDesign and Softworks.
• A working knowledge of print production trapping.
• A working understanding of Color Management and L*a*b* with G7 color management.
• Ability to handle multiple programs and responsibilities with programs at different stages of completion with ability to be fluid with individual job demands.
• Ability to generate and propose graphic design creative concepts.
• Skills to produce mockups and prototypes a plus.
• Photography skills a plus.
What will my schedule be like?
This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week. Our core hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. This position is eligible for hybrid work with 2 days as remote and 3 days onsite.
