Job Summary
The Quality Control Operator ensures agreed upon quality standards are met in final layouts for pre-press and packaging production art.
With limited guidance from the client project team, this position executes digital and analogue techniques to confirm final product meets project standards and complies with technical specifications, copy content and regulatory requirements.
This position ensures the Production team achieves published on-time delivery, ENCP, and/or INCP Production requirements.

Job Responsibilities
• Attends project or production meetings as necessary to understand specifications of the project.
• Establishes high quality standards for all production processes, workflows and client deliverables.
• Ensures accurate, consistent, and timely completion of high quality, basic to intermediate level artwork, effectively using industry standard software, tools, and prepress and print techniques.
• Responsible for reading, understanding and applying customer, legal and regulatory specifications.
• Performs assigned tasks within the overall production workflow and assigned budget, according to work order specifications, industry and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), company standards, and the client’s brand guidelines and standards.
• Ensures client project team has most current information about the status of the assigned project(s) by logging and maintaining in the project tracking system accurate records of the project plan, time dedicated toward a specific project and any quality issues.
• Meets quality standards for all assigned deliverables and makes recommendations to management for improvements in reports, tools, processes and assigned tasks.
• Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts or related field
• 4+ years of previous graphic arts experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic understanding of effective print, photo studio and/or digital production, processes, roles, tools and workflows
• Basic to proficient experience in photo and color manipulation techniques and processes
• Computer Graphics certification preferred. Basic computer software skills within Apple Mac equipment and operating systems, Adobe Design Suite, Acrobat plus QuarkXpress, Agile, etc.
• Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues
across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-
oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
• Ability to work overtime as necessary
