The Digital Media Specialist/ Retoucher is trusted to enhance photo studio images to ensure they are visually appealing and accurate representations of the merchandise while meeting creative objectives.
They meticulously adjust colors, remove imperfections, and optimize images for multi-channel platforms while maintaining consistency across images, adhering to brand guidelines, and collaborating closely with photographers and cross-functional teams.
This position requires a blend of technical skills, artistic abilities, and a good understanding of software tools and techniques. The hours of this position are Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and it is based out of our Taunton, MA Corporate office.

Responsibilities
What we trust you to do:
• Utilizes software like Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom to enhance and improve the consistency of all photography & retouching conducting thorough reviews and quality checks to ensure images meet brand photography standards and ensuring that the product appears true to life and matches its real-world appearance as closely as possible.
• Pays close attention to detail to edit and manipulate images to achieve desired visual outcomes which may involve, compositing multiple images, retouching product surfaces, textures, and small imperfections including cleaning up dust, scratches, or any blemishes that may detract from the product's presentation.
• Responsible for all Dynamic Image Rendering including VNT creation, quality checking, establishing standards, and monitoring third party vendors.
• Works closely with photographers, creative director, and other stakeholders to understand project goals and deliver retouched images that align with creative vision.
• Retouches and stitches 360º assets for use in multiple channels ensuring that the transitions between images are smooth and natural and that the background behind the product in each frame of the 360 view is clean, consistent, and distraction-free.
• Implements file-size requirements and optimization while maintaining image quality to ensure fast loading times and smooth user experience.
• Skilled in batch processing and automation techniques to handle large volumes of images effectively.
• Organizes and maintains a large volume of files with proper file naming and process standards for upload and archiving.
• Tracks workflow for all photography in the photo studio, as well as Dynamic Image Rendering files.
• Keeps up-to-date with industry trends, new techniques, and software updates to continuously improve skills and workflow efficiency.
• Any other function or responsibility as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates have:
• 4 plus years of retouching experience in image editing software with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Capture One within the Mac OSX environment. This includes knowing advanced techniques for color correction, compositing, masking, and retouching.
• Strong understanding of color theory and color spaces (RGB, CMYK, etc.), as well as how to accurately adjust and maintain consistent colors across different devices and outputs.
• Digital photography background preferred with knowledge of photography principles such as exposure, composition, lighting, and depth of field. Fashion photography or retail photography experience a plus.
• A keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to editing to ensure high-quality results with no overlooked imperfections with the ability to retouch to specific set requirements.
• Strong understanding of non-destructive editing techniques to preserve the original image data and allow for easy adjustments and revisions.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during the editing process, such as software glitches, compatibility issues, or hardware limitations.
• Experience with Adobe Scene 7 asset management a plus
• Must be highly organized, process oriented to coordinate workflow, and thrive on time-sensitive projects while meeting agreed deadlines
• Ability to manage workflow, work as part of a team, and interact effectively with others
• Must be able to work independently, prioritize without direction and multi-task effectively and works well under pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment

• Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
